Sleep Apnea Clinic

For those who may be suffering from sleep apnea, Reliant Medical Group features a comprehensive Sleep Apnea Clinic. Patients are carefully diagnosed in a Sleep Lab located on Elm Street in Worcester. For some patients, studies can also be performed at St. Vincent’s hospital and at the patient’s home. During the sleep study, the patient is carefully monitored for obstructive breathing and other signs of sleep apnea.

Once a diagnosis is made, patients are seen by a Reliant Medical Group pulmonologist for treatment. Sometimes behavioral changes are enough to cure sleep apnea. However, the most common treatment for sleep apnea is a C-PAP machine, which provides continuous airway pressure through a mask during sleep to keep the patient’s airway open. In some cases, surgical treatment provided by Reliant Medical Group’s ENT department can also be used to treat different physical conditions that cause sleep apnea.
